The riding season is here, and it’s time to hit that open road. Here’s a list of the best motorcycling roads in the US!
Moki Dugway, Utah
Moki Dugway, a graded dirt road winding up from the Valley of the Gods towards Moab, is a breathtaking route offering one of the best vistas in the West. Vast green prairie runs off towards the red rocks in the horizon, as the road gets higher and higher. A must-ride in Utah!
Engineer Pass, Colorado
Colorado’s San Juan mountain passes are a perfect playground for dirt biking, whether you’re on a light dirt bike or a heavier dual sport. Engineer Pass is one of the most spectacular roads to explore on two wheels.
Shaffer Trail and Potash Road, Utah
Moab is an adventure destination on steroids: it’s a Mecca for mountain bikers, hikers, canoe fanatics, and motorcyclists alike. The Shaffer Trail which later connects to the Potash Road is an amazing days’ ride on Mars: red sand and rock, incredible views over the Colorado River, and the surreal landscape make it an unforgettable ride.
Burr Trail, Utah
Utah again! Burr Trail, an old cattle trail, connects Boulder and Bullfrog, zigzagging through the painted rock country of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Capitol Reef National Park, and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument land.
New Mexico Back Country Discovery Route
New Mexico Back Country Discovery Route is one of the most spectacular rides out there. Still resembling the Wild West, the New Mexico BDR makes for a perfect adventure motorcycling holiday!
